“Careers next exit” Pathways Night

University, college, apprenticeship, or work. These are the post-secondary pathway destinations facing today’s youth.

Figuring out which path to choose is an important, and often difficult, decision to make.

A Pathways Night, hosted by the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board, will hopefully provide some answers. On November 1, high school students and their parents will have an opportunity to speak to representatives from Ontario colleges and universities, employment services, businesses and trades at a ‘career expo’ that showcases the different options.

Grade 7 & 8 students and their parents are also invited to come out and explore secondary pathways and program offerings, including the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Program, Co-operative Education and OYAP (Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program).

The Pathways Night/Career Awareness Event takes place from 6:00-8:00 at the Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School, 1824 Rymal Road East, Hamilton L0R 1P0.
